Asymmetries in the Industrial Complex of Health is subject of the Cycle of Debates

On November 24th, the VII Cycle of Debates on Bioethics, Diplomacy and Public Health will discuss “International Asymmetries in the Health Industrial Complex”, with Eduardo Jorge Valadares, Coordinator of Physical and Technological Infrastructure of the Brazilian Company of Hospital Services (Ebserh). The coordination of the Table shall be in charge of Marcia Motta, Advidor at Fiocruz. It will be held from 8:30 am, in the Internal Auditorium at Fiocruz Brasília.

“The discussion on the health industrial complex brings together, at the same time, the debate on regulation, development and reduction of economic dependence with a view to reducing inequalities”, explains the Coordinator of Education and Research of Nethis, Roberta de Freitas.

This is the last session of the Cycle of Debates of 2016 and the last lecture of the Course of Short Duration International Cooperation for Development: specifics of the area of health, which ends on December 1st.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER – Eduardo Jorge Valadares is a graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Alfenas, Masters and Ph.d. in biomedical engineering at State University of Campinas. Valadares was Director of the Department of Industrial and Innovation Health Complex (DECIIS), at the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs (SCTIE), at the Ministry of health. He worked in industrial cooperation projects in the Brazilian Industrial Development Agency (ABDI). Access the curriculum lattes here.
