Cooperation between countries during the games was evaluated positively. The coordination of Sensitive Technologies and Biodefense Analysis of Abin Eriton Lincoln accounts that the concern during the Olympic Games in Rio was great at the opening ceremony due to terrorist threats. Security operations were presented during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, such as the work of the Integrated Anti-terrorism Center (CIANT) in which officers of the intelligence from several countries acted in the fight against terrorism, with information sharing and positioning of snipers in public squares and malls in the case of an emergency.

The Manager of the Technical Unit of the Strategic Information and Response Center in Health Surveillance of the Ministry of Health Marilia Lovocat told that a team of the National Force of SUS was on standby to alert if any outbreak of zika occurred, for example.

All safety and health institutions that were in the Olympic games have been articulated to respond in case of need to direct patients contaminated by chemical agents to the referral hospitals. The health authorities also worked with the intelligence, telling the truth or not the rumors about terrorist threats.
