Nethis/Fiocruz Brasilia promotes activities in Abrascão – 2015

The Center for Bioethics and Diplomacy Studies in Health (Nethis/Fiocruz Brasília) will coordinate several activities at the 11th Brazilian Congress of Public Health, Abrascão – 2015, between July 28th and August 1st, at the Federal University of Goias in Goiania. Check out the complete schedule here.  “Nethis´s team is becoming prepared to take part in one of the most important congresses involving the areas of health, bioethics and international relations. We are always at Abrascão. This year, with tables, lectures, presentations, pre-Conference course and a strong presence at Fiocruz´s booth”, says the Coordinator of the Nethis/Fiocruz Brasilia, José Paranaguá Santana.

PAPERS – Nethis´s team will present three papers on oral communication mode. An analysis of the promotion of the interdisciplinary debate on bioethics, diplomacy and public health, on the 34 sessions of the Cycle of Debates, promoted by Nethis since 2010, will be presented as an experience report in Public Health. The work is authored by the journalists Cecilia Lopes and Fernanda Miranda, and the Coordinator of the Center.

The work of researcher Felipe Baptista, Teaching International Relations, Health and Bioethics: pedagogical elaboration of the course International Development Cooperation – specificities of the area of Health, reports the experience from Nethis of developing the distance-learning course, which will be released in the middle of the second semester.

The researcher Roberta de Freitas Campos will make a report about the survey International Health Institutions at the Subregional context, with the preliminary results of the ongoing study in Postgraduate Phd program in Global Health and Sustainability of the Public Health School of the University of São Paulo on the main international institutions working on health issues in the European Union (EU) and Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
