Nethis/Fiocruz Brasília and UNA-SUS are participating in the 54th COBEM

The Coordinator of Nethis/Fiocruz Brasilia, José Paranaguá de Santana, will participate as a lecturer of the 54th Cobem – Brazilian Congress of Medical Education –, sponsored by the Brazilian Association of Medical Education (Abem). The meeting, with the general theme “Teaching and Learning Medicine: challenges of the present, expectations of the future”, occurs until October 15th at UniCEUB.

In addition to the Coordinator of Nethis,  the Open University staff of SUS (UNA-SUS) Lina Brasil, Luiz Carlos Lobo and Alysson Lemos and the Advisor to Fiocruz Brasilia Armando Raggio will also take part.

Paranagua will lecture about “Labour Market for the Doctor in Brazil”, coordinated by the professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) Sigisfredo Luís Brenelli, tomorrow, October 14th at 10am in the Auditorium of Block 1 of UniCEUB.

UNA-SUS staff will be at the same time, in the Auditorium of Block 8, with the Conference “Connectivity, Collective Knowledge and Collaborative Learning”, presented by Luiz Carlos Lobo and moderated by Lina Brazil.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator of UNA-SUS, Alysson Lemos, will speak about “Educational resources for health education in the at Distance Learning Mode”, at the round table “New technologies in health education and use of electronic media Osvaldo Sampaio Netto (UCB)”, at 8:15am, in the Auditorium of the library.

On October 15th, the Advisor to Fiocruz Brasilia, Armando Raggio, will participate in the Panel “And the future of SUS?” assessing the Unified Health System and the initiatives to reduce health financing, disruption of system services and future prospects.

The COBEM, the greatest annual event promoted by ABEM, has the attendance of faculties of Medicine, medical students, medical residents, graduate students, researchers and other health professionals, representatives of medical entities, directors of teaching hospitals and the unified health system/SUS managers. The Central theme of 54th COBEM  stimulates reflection and debate in all the activities of the Congress seeking ways to address the present challenges, both in the daily life of our schools as in the consolidation of the unified health system/SUS, contributing to a more just and egalitarian society, as it is the Mission of ABEM.
