OFFICIAL NOTE: Some audios have been circulating on whatsapp on a beginning of global pandemic generated by a lethal disease that was being transmitted by monkeys. The audio still cites that Fiocruz would be hiring several zootechnicians to work on the case. The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) clarifies that this information is therefore untruthful. There is a world pandemic being ‘ hidden ‘ and cannot speak about any disease so far, once the final report has not yet been issued. Fiocruz confirms the receipt of samples of primates of the city of Rio de Janeiro for laboratory analysis inOctober 10th. We emphasize, however, that there has not been and never will be hiring of zootechnicians to evaluate the case. Samples follow the protocol and standard flow of Fiocruz for its processing. The final report will be submitted to the State Department of Health. Fiocruz has been working in close coordination with the State Department of Health, the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro and Universidade Estácio de Sá.
