Inequality, Development and International Cooperation in Health: a possible equation? is the theme of the next session,bannerCicloAgosto-16MateriaAugust 25th, of the VII Cycle of Debates on Bioethics, Diplomacy and Public Health, promoted by Nethis/Fiocruz. The guest lecturer is researcher Sônia Fleury, Coordinator of the Public Sphere Studies Program at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). Exceptionally, the Cycle of Debates will take place at 2:00 pm in the internal Auditorium at Fiocruz. The table coordination will be in charge of José Paranaguá de Santana, Nethis Coordinator.

The expectation is that Sônia Fleury will lecture about her living and learning with the Italian sanitarian Giovanni Berlinguer. “She knew as not so many the illustrious thinker, and shall present us a kind of imaginary dialogue with him, around the challenges now presented concerning inequalities in the international relations in health scenario, demarcated by the hegemonic understanding of development”, believes Paranaguá.

AGENDA – the next session of VII Cycle of Debates on Bioethics, Diplomacy and Public Health shall occur on September 22nd, October 20th and November 24th . The Cycle is inserted in the curriculum of the course of short duration “International Development Cooperation: Specifics of the area of health”. The lectures are recorded and can be accessed here.
