Researcher at Ipea releases book on Heidegger

Nethis/Fiocruz Brasilia promotes the Conference “Health as a philosophical concept”, with Roberto Passos Nogueira, a researcher at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), on December 9th, 8:30 am, in the Internal Auditorium of Fiocruz Brasília. Nogueira is one of the leading Brazilian scholars of the philosopher Martin Heidegger and will release of his new book: “To be and Health: Rethinking Health with Heidegger”.

The event is opened to the public and registration is available at this link. The participants will receive certificate of participation.

In 2014, the researcher conducted three days of training on Heidegger to Nethis researchers, to the International Observatory of Human Capabilities, Development and Public Policies at the Center of Studies of Public Health at the University of Brasília (UnB/Nesp) and to the Secretariat of Health of the Federal District.

Roberto Passos Nogueira is a Doctor, Master ́s degree (1977) and Phd (1999) at the University of the State ofde Janeiro. Paho/WHO consultant in Brazil (1980-86) and Washington (1987-88). Researcher and planning specialist of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (1989-2007). General Coordinator of Human Resources Policy of the Ministry of Health (1996-97). Researcher at IPEA since 1998. Associate researcher of the ObservaRH/NESP/UnB since 1999. Main areas of research include: human resources in health, historical and philosophical aspects of health and medical practice, health conditions in Brazil and internationally.
