The Regional Conference on Social Development of Latin America and the Caribbean will be held November 2nd and 4th, with the objective of promoting and supporting the strengthening of social development in the region, as well as of encouraging cooperation and the exchange of experience between the countries.
The event will be held in Lima, organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Government of Peru and the UN Development Program (UNDP).
During the meeting the positioning document “Social inclusive development: a new generation of policies to overcome poverty and inequality” will released, which analyzes the recent advances and challenges that the region presents in this context. The document examines the factors that explain the recorded achievements, the challenges that remain, and delivery of recommendations for public policies.
