Nethis/Fiocruz wins grant for scientific events

vciclo_debates_banner_siteThe Center of Studies on Bioethics and Diplomacy in Health (Nethis/Fiocruz) was awarded with 20 thousand reals by public notice to support scientific events in 2015, by the the Health Secretariat of science, technology and strategic inputs from the Ministry of Health. The funds will be used to carry out the VI Cycle of Debates on bioethics, diplomacy and public health – Conceptual and practical Evolution of cooperation in health, in the first half of 2015.

For the Center Coordinator, José Paranaguá de Santana, the positive result is an incentive to continue the Cycle of Debates. “We celebrate one more conquest for Nethis and to Fiocruz. Is the recognition of an important activity of thinking and interdisciplinary debate promoted by Fiocruz Brasilia “.

With the feature, three sessions of the Cycle of Debates will be held in different spaces. The forecast is to share them with other institutions, including two events outside Brasilia: with the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz and with the Center of International Relations in Health, Fiocruz, in Manguinhos, Rio de Janeiro; and with the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo (USP).

 CYCLE OF DEBATES – In 2015, the activity completes six years, with monthly periodicity, held last Thursday of the month. It aims to promote the thinking, debate and development of scientific studies in the fields of bioethics, public health and international relations. In each session, renowned researchers and managers are invited to lead the discussions. The Cycle of Debates sessions are recorded and available in the Nethis video library . Soon, the 2015 agenda will be available.
