The Virtual Health Library Bioethics and Health Diplomacy-VHL Nethis-received a 20 000 reals support from the Virtual libraries in health program from Fiocruz 2014. The project submitted by Nethis, who acts as the Executive Secretariat of the BVS Bioethics and Diplomacy, answered all the lines of action required by the notice.
To be executed within 12 months, the financial support will fund: workshops; hiring of an intern in librarianship; creating an online form for inserting documents; an Advisory Committee meeting; participation in events in the area of information science and librarianship and preparation of material for dissemination.
The Librarian of the Nethis, Neilia Almeida, points out that the Bioethics and Health Diplomacy VHL, since its creation, receives support from Fiocruz. “Funding is important to the development of some activities, but above all represents the recognition of the institutional actions of the Center in the area of information and communication.”
The Program of Support for Virtual Libraries in Health from Fiocruz 2014 is a partnership between the Institute of scientific and technological information and communication in health (ICICT/Fiocruz) and the Vice Presidency of education, information and communication (VPEIC/Fiocruz). VPEIC’s budget were earmarked up to 20 000 reals for the maximum funding of one project for each instance of VHL, and 60 ooo reals for the VHL Fiocruz, to shared actions.
